Questions About Canada Post Work Stoppage

Will I receive a home screening test?
If you received a letter stating that the test would be mailed to you in the next few weeks, please be advised that these tests will be delayed due to the postal strike.  Unless you have called to say that you do not want a test, we will mail your test when regular mail service resumes or you are welcome to pick one up in person at ColonCheck; #5-25 Sherbrook Ave., Winnipeg between 8:30-4:30 Monday–Friday.

Should I start the home screening test?
Do not start the test unless you are able to drop it off in person at Cadham Provincial Laboratory in Winnipeg at 750 William Ave., Winnipeg or at any of the sites listed here during normal business hours. Otherwise, wait until the postal strike has ended to start the test. If you are not sure when to start or if you should start the test, please call us at 204-788-8635 or 1-866-744-8961 or email us at ColonCheck@cancercare.mb.ca

I’ve already started the home screening test, now what?
If you’ve already started the test, finish it if you are able to drop it off in person in Winnipeg at Cadham Provincial Laboratory at 750 William Ave. or at any of the sites listed here during normal business hours. The test needs to be analyzed within 14 days of the first sample date.  If you are unable to drop the completed test off, do not continue to take samples.  Discard the test and call 204-788-8635 or 1-855-95-CHECK (toll free) or email us at ColonCheck@cancercare.mb.ca and we will mail you a replacement test when regular mail service resumes.

I’ve finished the home screening test, now what?
If you have a test that you have recently completed, it needs to be analyzed within 14 days of the first sample date. Drop it off in person in Winnipeg at Cadham Provincial Laboratory at 750 William Ave. or at any of the sites listed here during normal business hours.

Did my home screening test make it to the lab?
If you have recently completed a test and would like to know if your test was received by the lab or what your result was, please call us at 204-788-8635 or 1-855-95-CHECK.

How will I know my test result?
If we have received your test and the result was abnormal, we will call you and notify your family doctor.  Normal result letters will not be mailed to participants until regular mail service resumes. If you would like to know your test result please call us at 204-788-8635 or 1-855-95-CHECK.
